Maternity Services are provided over 3 sites, offering women and staff four birthing environments: home, freestanding birth centre, alongside birth centre, and obstetric labour ward.
The Prince Charles Site (Level 2) underwent major refurbishment in 2019. It features care in our obstetric unit, an alongside midwifery-led unit, three birthing pools, a bereavement room, and an enhanced environment for women and staff.
Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend, is a Level 2 Maternity Unit. It offers low-risk women the opportunity to labour and birth in the Bluebell Suite, the alongside Midwifery Led room, and a newly refurbished Birthing Pool room. Obstetric services support women requiring increased surveillance during labour.
