Litigation Solicitor (NQ+)
* Annual Salary: Circa £45,000 – £55,000, dependent on experience
* Location: Caterham
* Job Type: Permanent, full-time, flexible working
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Litigation Solicitor (or above) to join a well-established and growing litigation team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to focus predominantly on civil litigation, offering exposure to a varied and mixed caseload and providing an ideal platform for professional development. While aimed at NQ level, candidates with post-qualification experience are also encouraged to apply, especially those with a strong background in litigation.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through to resolution.
* Advise clients on litigation strategy, prospects of success, and risk.
* Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents.
* Conduct legal research and review evidence.
* Engage in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
* Instruct and liaise with counsel and external experts.
* Represent clients at hearings where appropriate.
* Maintain high standards of client care and compliance at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
* Minimum Newly Qualified level (higher PQE also welcomed).
* Training or experience within civil litigation.
* Strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage multiple matters effectively and meet deadlines.
* A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
