Your Day-to-Day:
As a Senior Engine Test Technician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering complex ICE development programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading engine installation, instrumentation, and test cell setup
* Validating engine systems and support equipment for safe and accurate operation
* Running both automated and manual test cycles, including advanced testing with engineering support
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and contributing to root cause analysis
* Performing servicing, hardware changes, and taking ownership of test pieces
* Collaborating with Engineers, Supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
* Supporting continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and quality

What You Will Need For This Opportunity:
* Proven experience operating engine test beds
* Strong understanding of petrol and diesel engine systems
* Confident in diagnosing faults and working with engine support equipment
* Background in automotive, mechanical, or testing environments
* Basic mechanical and fabrication skills
* Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g. AVL PUMA, Horiba STARS)
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
