Maths Tutor – Year 11 Intervention – Secondary School – Braintree Location: Halstead Start Date: November 2025 Focus: Year 11 GCSE Intervention A supportive secondary school in Halstead is looking for a dedicated Maths Tutor to work with Year 11 students, providing targeted intervention to help them prepare for their GCSE exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to students’ progress and confidence in Maths. The role will include: Delivering small group and 1:1 Maths intervention sessions with Year 11 pupils. Supporting students to consolidate key mathematical skills and knowledge in preparation for GCSE exams. Adapting tutoring methods to suit a range of abilities and learning styles, including students who may need extra support or encouragement. Monitoring student progress and feeding back to teaching staff on attainment and areas for improvement. Helping students build confidence, resilience, and a positive approach towards Maths. Requirements: A degree in Maths or a related subject (essential). Experience tutoring or teaching Maths at GCSE level. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students. A patient, supportive approach with strong behaviour management.
