Placement & Progression Officer (PPO)
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Placement Progression Officer (PPO) based in our Wolverhampton centre. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality services to learners, develop referral and employer partnerships, and ensure learners and employees receive quality IAG leading to positive outcomes. Success will be measured against company and contractual KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support learners transitioning from centre to work placements.
2. Undertake initial vetting and updates of work experience/apprenticeship placements.
3. Conduct periodic reviews of learners in work experience placements, ensuring full engagement from learners and employers.
4. Encourage positive placement outcomes, including employment or engagement in Apprenticeship or Traineeship programmes.
5. Build strong relationships with colleagues and key progression route organizations.
6. Lead local marketing and outreach activities to generate referrals.
7. Coordinate local marketing and careers events.
8. Assist learners in sourcing suitable progression routes and ensure smooth transitions into their chosen destinations.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a sales/IAG-oriented business-to-customer environment.
2. Minimum Level 2 literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
3. Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Google Meets).
4. Experience managing performance targets against challenging goals.
5. IAG qualification is desirable.
6. Full, clean UK Driving License.
