About the Job
This is a key leadership role within the finance team, responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable function and managing a team of AP professionals. The position will play a pivotal role in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance, and building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Duties will include:
* Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounts payable team
* Managing supplier communications and maintaining accurate master data
* Ensuring efficient processing of invoices through OCR and workflow systems
* Coordinating weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring tax compliance
* Preparing internal and external AP-related reports
* Acting as the main point of contact for internal departments and suppliers
* Strengthening internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes
* Driving efficiencies through ongoing process improvement initiatives
* Supporting integration of new systems and acquisitions through ad hoc projects
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading an AP team, preferably in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, alongside advanced Excel skills, is required. A confident communicator with a collaborative leadership style, they will demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and strong organisational
skills.
