As a Sustainability Business Account Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with new business contacts to aid companies of all sizes with their energy management and carbon reporting approach. You will promote sustainability practices and solutions to businesses at various stages of their Net Zero journey, ensuring alignment with their sustainability goals and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs. Your role includes conducting in-depth consultations with clients to understand their carbon reporting requirements, energy monitoring, and reduction plans, as well as analyzing current carbon and energy management strategies to propose improvements.
This position requires a blend of business acumen, sustainability knowledge, and a passion for environmental impact, helping clients achieve their energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospect for new business through various channels including cold calling and networking.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their sustainability objectives.
3. Conduct assessments of clients' current sustainability practices.
4. Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions that optimize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
5. Lead the implementation of sustainable energy solutions and carbon reduction initiatives.
6. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for project execution.
7. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and partnerships.
8. Identify expansion opportunities within existing client base to drive revenue growth.
9. Onboard new clients successfully.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales.
* Strong understanding of sustainable energy practices and energy efficiency strategies.
* Experience working towards targets and KPIs.
* Previous cold calling experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with large commercial clients.
* Track record of delivering excellent customer support.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organized and confident in meeting deadlines.
* Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
* Understanding of the commercial energy market.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
