An average day as a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Engineer
12. You will carry out all works to the requirements of BS5839 & BS5266
13. You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance and re-active calls for all branches.
14. You will carry out Fire detection & Emergency lighting repairs.
15. You will be able to carry out diagnostic and fault finding.
16. You will be able to complete all necessary test certificates and maintenance logs and submit these back to the office.
17. You may be required to work with and develop apprentice’s technical skills.
About you…
18. Have a good working knowledge & application of BS5839-1 & BS5266
19. Have knowledge of conventional and addressable systems
20. Have fire alarm & emergency lighting maintenance/installation & commissioning experience.
21. BS7671:2018 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations (would be an advantage)
22. Hold a full UK driving license.
23. Be good at problem solving, decision making and have good communication skills
