Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a partner primary school based in Bury for a Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking school that values high-quality teaching and pupil wellbeing.
The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can support pupils as they transition from the EYFS curriculum into Key Stage 1. You will play a vital role in developing early literacy, numeracy, and learning behaviours that set strong foundations for future success.
The Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, with a particular focus on phonics, reading, and writing development. Regular assessment and monitoring of pupil progress will be essential, allowing you to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners. You will also contribute to the wider school community and work closely with parents and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Have a strong understanding of phonics schemes
* Be reflective and committed to continuous improvement
* Build positive relationships with pupils and parents
