About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable assistant to join our team in a varied and customer-facing role. This position combines golf retail, golf operations, technology support, and event management, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about the game and enjoys delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the golf shop, assisting members and visitors, supporting club events and competitions, and helping golfers find the right equipment and services to improve their game.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, and visitors.
* Manage daily retail operations, including sales, merchandising, and stock presentation.
* Operate and maintain the club’s tee sheet, handling bookings and customer enquiries efficiently.
* Assist with the organisation and delivery of golf competitions, club events, and special golf days.
* Support customers with equipment purchases by offering knowledgeable advice on golf clubs, balls, accessories, and other hardware.
* Maintain a professional and welcoming environment within the golf shop and club facilities.
* Assist with general administrative tasks related to golf operations.
Essential Requirements
* Strong passion for golf with a broad understanding of the game.
* Excellent knowledge of golf equipment, brands, and technology.
* Previous experience in a golf retail, golf club, or customer service environment.
* Experience using Trackman software or similar launch monitor technology.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional, organised, and customer-focused approach.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in golf club repair and maintenance, including regripping, shaft replacement, loft and lie adjustments, or similar workshop skills.
* PGA training or golf industry qualifications.
* Experience running golf competitions and club events.
* Use Trackman technology to help clients use the swing studio and any analysis where required.
