The Role of a Learning Support Assistant: As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing classroom support to students across various key stages. Working on a 1:1 basis and with small intervention groups. Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or additional learning needs. Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities. Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence. Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate. Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will Have: Previous experience working with children or young people in schools, care, coaching, or support settings. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
