About The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef for our Papa John’s kitchen. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a team of up to 10 staff. Your focus will be on keeping guests at the centre of all operational decisions, maintaining food cost budgets, and driving continuous improvement through effective menu planning and reliable execution.
Responsibilities
* Support kitchen operations and lead a team of up to 10.
* Plan resources, recruit and select staff, ensuring the best team is in place.
* Maintain food cost budgets and drive financial performance through menu planning and cooking to standards.
* Ensure food hygiene standards and health‑and‑safety compliance in line with legislation and company policy.
* Develop and implement action plans to continuously improve kitchen performance.
* Manage margins, control costs, and oversee all health, safety and hygiene related responsibilities.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
* Experience in a similar role or a strong desire to step up to the next level in the kitchen.
* Confidence in leading a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen environment.
* Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
