BRAND NEW ROLE SQL Server DBA | Azure & Microsoft Fabric | Digital Transformation Projects - Up to £60,000 base salary + benefits. Hybrid in Wigan.
I'm working with a technology business that has spent the last 20+ years helping transform some of the UK's most important public services through technology.
They're looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to join their specialist DBA team and play a key role in modernising database platforms across multiple large-scale public sector environments.
This isn't a traditional DBA role focused purely on support and maintenance.
The business is investing heavily in its Microsoft data platform capabilities, with a major push towards Azure, Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-native services.
You'll have the opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies in the Microsoft ecosystem whilst helping customers move away from legacy platforms and into modern cloud environments.

How do we make this work?
You’ll likely have several years of SQL Server DBA experience and enjoy getting hands‑on with performance tuning, troubleshooting and database optimisation.
Experience with Azure, cloud migrations, automation or modern data platforms would be particularly valuable, although the business is equally interested in people who are excited by learning and working with emerging Microsoft technologies.
