Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook Pot (Production Chef) to join our busy production kitchen at our seafood processing facility. You will be responsible for preparing large-scale batches of seafood dishes, dips, sauces, and other complementary products according to recipes and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cold and hot dips, sauces, and dressings
Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Ensure correct cooking temperatures and batch consistency for all products.
Monitor quality, freshness, and correct handling of raw seafood and other ingredients.
Label, chill, and store finished products according to HACCP and company procedures.
Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment and work areas.
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and allergen control standards.
Communicate any equipment issues or ingredient shortages to management.
Follow health and safety protocols, including use of PPE.
Support the production team in other kitchen duties as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a cook, production chef, or similar role in a commercial kitchen.
Experience handling seafood products is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and batch sheets.
Capable of lifting heavy pots and operating industrial cooking equipment.
Good time management and communication skills.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in chilled environments.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced production environment
Early morning or shift work may be required
