Join Our Team as an Admissions Counselor

Are you passionate about helping students take the next step in their educational journey? Bucks County Community College is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and motivated Admissions Counselor to join our team In this role, you'll take on the responsibility for various enrollment functions, including recruitment for both credit and alternative credit students, special events, and social media content/postings. You'll also assist with the development, planning, organization, and execution of recruiting functions, both internal and external.
As the Admissions Counselor, you'll serve as the primary counselor for the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, while maintaining your primary office on the Newtown Campus. You'll also be expected to provide occasional recruitment support at all Bucks County Community College campuses, including the Center for Advanced Technologies and the Upper Bucks County, Perkasie Campus, as needed.
Essential Functions
* Provide one-on-one counseling and guidance to students on program options, including support in selecting or refining their majors
* Assist students with applications, program eligibility requirements, and next steps in the enrollment process
* Support students throughout admissions, registration, and onboarding processes.
* Organize and manage prospective student presentations and campus tours.
* Manage admissions consultation bookings.
* Support the Associate Director of Admissions in the planning, coordination, and execution of major on-campus special events, including open houses, admitted student events, and other large scale recruitment activities.
* Aid in the supervision and mentorship of admissions student workers.
* Represent the college at evening and weekend recruitment events and community engagements as required.
* The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and show a commitment to providing excellent service to prospective students and families.
Minimum Job Requirements
* Associate's degree required (ideally in Education, Counseling, Communications, or a related field)
* 1-3 year's job-related experience
* Work experience in related field or in functions relative to Admissions' responsibilities.
* Prior experience working with students in higher education preferred.
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to prioritize work and address multiple projects at once.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Available to work nights and weekends as needed, and to travel locally.
* Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Valid driver's license required.
Salary Range $50,618 - $52,661 (commensurate with experience)
