The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established construction business in the North West who are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the HSEQ Manager and wider business in driving best practice across Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
You’ll be involved in everything from site audits and inspections to advising project teams, ensuring compliance with legislation, and maintaining ISO standards (9001, 14001 & 45001).
About the Role
As HSEQ Advisor, you’ll:
Support the HSEQ Manager across all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and statutory requirements (LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, Electricity at Work)
Review risk registers, PCI and Construction Phase Plans
Provide guidance to pre-construction and site teams on safe systems of work
Conduct audits, inspections, accident investigations, and root cause analysis
Deliver training, mentoring, and behavioural safety initiatives
Engage with stakeholders including clients, designers, contractors, and regulators
Report on KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesAbout You
The ideal candidate will:
Hold industry-recognised health & safety qualifications (minimum Level 6) and CertIOSH membership
Have previous experience within construction
Be confident working independently and collaboratively
Possess strong organisational skills and thrive under pressure
Be proficient with Microsoft Office and IT systems
