Working hours: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Contract:Permanent, Full Time

We're looking for talented Production & Material Planners to join our team in Worksop and play a crucial role in our supply chain.
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be an integral part of a team that values collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement. We offer a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact our success.
Purpose of the Role
The core purpose of this role is to ensure the timely delivery of materials, effectively manage supplier relationships, and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without overstocking. This position demands foresight, agility, and excellent communication skills.
You'll also be responsible for coordinating production timelines, resources, and workforce availability to ensure manufacturing runs efficiently. While daily and weekly tasks will focus on immediate priorities, monthly activities will emphasise longer-term planning, performance tracking, and process improvements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Material Planning:
* MRP
* Call off / order management
* Inward flow management
* Advice and resolution of supply issues
* Stock level management on site, mitigating shorts / surpluses
* Coordination with suppliers on delivery schedules and deviations to plan
* Execution of inventory write-offs
* Providing support to the wider on-site Supply Chain Team as required.
This role contributes to avoiding duplication of standard materials and building stronger supplier relationships.
Production Planning:
* Labour & daily production plan based on a frozen horizon
* Scheduling and optimisation
* Weekly production and labour plans
* Overall site planning
* Advice and resolution of issues (e.g., production fallout)
* Interface with engineering and shutdowns
* KPIs: Including inventory materials volume and value, labour utilisation, plant utilisation (OEE and capacity hours / Conformance to plan), dispatch service, and reduction of waste regarding materials.
* Providing support to the wider on-site Supply Chain Team as required.
Person Specification
* Highly numerical
* Good with building relationships, including strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to challenge when necessary.
* In-depth knowledge of ERP or MRP principles and working in SAP ECP.
* Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
* Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
* Experience of scheduling multiple fast-paced production lines.
* Experience with Maestro/Rapid Response or similar planning software.
* Experience working with Kinaxis and inventory management tools
