Base pay range
Location: Remote (UK based)
Salary: £26,400 (Grade 1) per year (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,483.94, if eligible)
Length of contract: Until 30/09/2025
Hours per week: 37

Who are Women’s Aid?
Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of just under 180 organisations which provide over 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Our support services, which include our Live Chat, the Survivors’ Forum, the No Woman Turned Away Project, the Survivor’s Handbook, Love Respect (our dedicated website for young people), the national Women’s Aid Directory and our advocacy projects, help thousands of women and children every year.
Purpose of the Recruitment Assistant role:
The Recruitment Assistant will support the wider People & Culture team by coordinating administrative tasks throughout the recruitment lifecycle, helping to attract and secure top talent for Women’s Aid. The role will also involve providing general administrative support, including assistance with payroll, inbox management, and other day-to-day operational duties
Key duties and responsibilities of the Recruitment Assistant:
* Managing the recruitment inbox and responding to candidate enquiries.
* Advertising vacancies across relevant platforms.
* Liaising with candidates to schedule interviews, assessments, and conduct pre-employment checks.
* Conducting interviews and assisting with candidate feedback where appropriate.
* Supporting with the administration of payroll.
* Providing general administrative support to the People & Culture team as needed.
What we are looking for in our Recruitment Assistant:
* Understanding of recruitment life-cycle administration processes
* Experience of working in a busy HR/Recruitment or equivalent highly confidential environment.
* Experience of supporting with payroll administration.
* Experienced and confident user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint as well as video conferencing platforms.
