Role: Staff Nurse - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: The Portland Hospital for Women & Children
Full time: 37.5 hours per week Permanent
Shift times: Monday – Sunday (flexibility required to work long days, Nights & weekends)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children.

Our modern, 14 bed PICU has been operational since November 2011 and offers cutting-edge treatment using the latest technology and has the support of a specialised team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists 24/7, ensuring our team has all the tools they need to deliver truly exceptional care.

As a Staff Nurse on our Paediatric Intensive Care unit you’ll work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children and families. Ability to promote family centred care and establish good relationships with children and their families. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.

What you’ll bring:

1. NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support

2. Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting

3. Understanding of Safeguarding issues

4. Excellent written and verbal communication
