What you will do
Were hiring a site-based, static Mechanical Fire Suppression Engineer in Ashford, Kent, for one of our clients in the South East. You will join a team of on-site engineers delivering mechanical fire suppression services on a nuclear site. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service are essential. Youll adapt to client needs and ensure high standards of safety, reliability, and communication.

How you will do it
Work on-site delivering mechanical fire suppression and detection tasks
Undertake necessary training for nuclear site operations
Occasionally support with electrical, gaseous & passive fire systems
Liaise with the client daily to receive work permits and instructions
Participate in the on-call rota (1 week on/off), site-only
Perform maintenance, commissioning, witness testing, and training
Report H&S issues or near-misses immediately
Complete documentation accurately and promptly
Adhere to all health & safety standards and promote company culture
What we look for
Experience on nuclear power stations preferred
Strong communication and people management skills
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
Mechanical fire suppression background essential
Full UK driving licence required
Knowledge of passive fire protection desirable
Willingness to travel for training when needed
