Location: Havering, based within the service. Unfortunately, this service does not have step-free access.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. Shifts may vary between 09:00 - 17:00 or 13:00 - 21:00 on a rota basis. You will also be required to work bank holidays if scheduled.
About the role
We are seeking an Engagement Worker to join our residential service in Havering, a 25-bed, 24-hour facility supporting adults with complex needs in a supported accommodation setting. Your role will involve supporting residents with social contact, safety, health, security, tenancy sustainment, and financial independence, aiding their journey towards greater independence and community integration. Our residents typically meet the following criteria:
* Single, vulnerable, with multiple disadvantages, including hospital discharges, substance use, and mental health issues
* Street homeless with complex needs
* Aged 18 to 55 years
* Willing to reduce substance use and engage with treatment services
The role is diverse, involving activities such as running engaging sessions, supporting appointments, and organizing external and in-house activities, tailored to individual needs.
