We are working in partnership with a weing and inclusive school in Coventry to recruit amitted SEN Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis, starting in September 2026.

The Role
The successful candidate will support pupils with Special Educational Needs, working either 1:1 or in small groups, depending on individual needs. Pupils may present with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff to ensure pupils are fully supported in their learning, emotional development, and day-to-day school life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide tailored academic and emotional support to pupils with SEN
2. Support learning activities within the classroom and during interventions
3. Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent strategies
4. Support pupils with personal care where required
5. Help prepare and set up the classroom for learning activities.
6. Support with classroom organisation, resources, and displays
7. Assist with end-of-day close-down duties, including tidying, cleaning shared areas, and resetting the classroom for the following day
8. Monitor pupil progress and feedback to teachers and the SENCO

9. Experience supporting children with SEN
10. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
11. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
12. A genuine passion for SEN education
13. Relevant SEN or childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential
