Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a growing manufacturing facility. This role will be key in supporting the diagnosis, resolution, and execution of maintenance activities across site to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production equipment.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working closely with the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying electrical faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvements within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and facilities to identify maintenance requirements and prioritise repairs.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime.

Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery.

Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to source required spare parts and materials.
*
Support projects involving refurbishment, modification, and upgrading of machinery to improve performance and reliability.
*
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams to support fault diagnosis and repair.
*
Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain operational efficiency and minimise disruption to production.
Requirements
*
Relevant engineering qualification such as NVQ, HNC, or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
*
Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
*
Familiarity with electrical control systems.
*
Basic PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous
