About the Role As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on experience Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory lessons Supporting students in developing cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and food safety awareness Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback Contributing to curriculum development and departmental resources Maintaining a safe and well-organised food preparation environment Supporting extracurricular activities and food-related enrichment opportunities Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Design & Technology department Experience and Qualifications A Food Technology, Hospitality, or related Degree QTS or PGCE Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (including placements for ECTs) Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical learning Salary The salary for this Food Technology Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
