The Intensive Support Service, part of The Enablement Hub (a trading name of PBS4), is currently looking to expand its pool of specialist Intensive Support Workers to respond swiftly to emergency situations. Support may come from various sources, including commissioners, the NHS, and other social care providers across the South Coast. You would be a vital part of building a dedicated team to ensure that any immediate support provided is person-centred, of high quality, delivered safely, and aligned with the needs of the individual supported.
Our experience shows that this role suits highly skilled and experienced team members with a background in supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health diagnoses, and complex care needs. Experience working with individuals who can present challenging behaviours is crucial. You will need to be patient, empathetic, understanding, and resilient, as being a consistent presence during crises is key to helping individuals feel safe.
The service prefers individuals who are locally based and willing to travel at short notice, with support available for travel and accommodation.
About you:
* Over 2 years of experience working within Social Care.
* Experience in 2:1, 3:1, or 4:1 support settings.
* Driver with own vehicle; UK driving license preferred to drive the supported individual's car when needed.
* Active, mobile, resilient, empathetic, encouraging, supportive, patient, and passionate about person-centred social care.
* Experience with positive behaviour support, intensive interaction, and personalised care planning.
* Eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship cannot be provided.
