Warehouse Team Leader
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 14.00-22.00, 37.5 hours after breaks
Location: Haydock, WA11
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent. No weekends or bank holidays
Salary: £28,645.50 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
All candidates will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DBS check.
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful, fast-moving distribution business looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their operation on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run a shift, lead people, and hit targets in a busy warehouse environment.
What you’ll be doing
Lead and motivate a warehouse team to deliver daily operational targets
Be the main point of contact on shift for operatives and management
Complete activities such as site walk-rounds and audits as required
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with KPIs, SLAs and SOPs
Manage performance, engagement and day-to-day people issues
Support stock control, PI counts and quality checks
Report shift performance, issues and incidents to senior management through regular face to face and team meetings
Attend client calls and reviews
What we’re looking for
Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience in a warehouse or FMCG environment
Strong people management skills and confidence handling performance issues and disciplinaries
KPI-focused, organised, professional, reliable and proactive
A clear communicator who leads from the front
