We are seeking an experienced Country Manager, China to lead commercial growth across our product and service portfolio in Greater China.
This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for driving revenue, expanding market presence, and building long-term customer partnerships across academic, biotech, pharma, and clinical genomics markets.
The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset, owning country-level performance while building a strong local commercial organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the country sales strategy including implementing and managing regional distributors
* Own revenue and annual growth targets; manage forecasting and pipeline discipline.
* Build strong customer centric relationships
* Drive new business acquisition and expansion within strategic accounts.
* Lead, coach, and develop the local sales team as the territory develops (sales reps, channel partners).
* Monitor market trends for complimentary technology and competitor activities across the companies focused on off target/ on target screening
* Collaborate cross-functionally with, FAS teams, Product Management, Marketing teams and Operations.
* Ensure adherence to pricing policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field; /PhD preferred.
* 10+ years of sales experience in genomics, NGS, CRISPR, gene editing.
* Strong existing network within academic, biotech, and clinical genomics customers.
* Proven ability to drive consultative technical sales and close complex deals.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Ability to travel regularly (with region and internationally for conferences/ company meetings).
Skills & Competencies
* Deep understanding of CRISPR gene editing (NGS workflows and sequencing platforms a plus).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and scientific presentation skills.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
* Ability to influence senior scientific and operational stakeholders.
* Self-driven, resilient, and effective in fast-moving, high-innovation environments.
* Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
