Operations Director – Fit-Out & Refurbishment
Location: National (UK) – travelling up to 4 days a week with 2-3 overnight stays required

Salter Grange are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Director to join a tier 1 main contractor to lead the delivery of fit-out and refurbishment projects. This is a senior leadership role overseeing multiple projects nationwide, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and delivery quality across our portfolio.
About the role
As an Operations Director, you’ll work alongside a team of Operations Managers and fellow senior leaders to provide strategic and hands on leadership to project and site teams including Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and Site Managers.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Leading project teams from bid stage through pre-construction, delivery, and handover
* Championing health, safety, and quality at every stage
* Identifying and mitigating project, functional, and business risks
* Driving performance improvements and best practice across operations
* Inspiring teams to deliver outstanding results on a diverse range of projects from fast paced repeat schemes to high value, complex refurbishments
About you:
* A strong background in fit-out and refurbishment, ideally with experience leading multi-site project teams
* A track record of progressing through site based roles into senior operational leadership
* A passion for developing people, improving processes, and achieving excellence in delivery
* Strong commercial and strategic awareness with the ability to balance client priorities and business goals.
