Job Summary: Company: DF Concerts and Events Department: Finance Location: Glasgow, UK Reports to: Finance Reporting and Planning Manager Working Hours: 40hrs, Mon to Fri additional event work as required Job Type: Permanent Role Description The main purpose of this role is to provide timely financial and commercial information to meet the groups reporting requirements, satisfy the company business objectives and comply with statutory obligations. This position will provide critical support to a busy Finance team in the lead up to a period of development, testing and implementation of a new Financial System and beyond. The role would suit an experienced Finance Lead, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines, has a versatile approach, and can proactively and quickly take on new tasks. Preparation of balance sheet controls, analysis and associated journals, to meet internal and group deadlines and in accordance with group SOX compliance. Show closing reviews and reconciliation in line with company timeframes. Managing risk by ensuring insurance cover placed for all applicable concerts and events and collating insurance claims. Budget management and timely settlement of outdoors shows including green field sites and stadiums, with attendance on site as required. Supporting the preparation of show forecasting and monthly cashflow reporting. Completing statutory obligations in terms of quarterly VAT Returns, Foreign Entertainers Tax Returns, PAYE and Corporation tax reporting and the Office of National Statistics surveys. Supporting in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly reforecast, including the preparation and input of associated reports. Providing support to the wider team dealing with escalated AR and AP related issues, cash and banking queries and payroll related issues.
