Senior Project Manager – Innovation & Digital - UK Offices – Permanent

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver high-quality projects within a specified time and the budget costs set.
You need to be comfortable working hands-on in a team, leading, implementing and leading our hybrid agile/waterfall project framework. You will work closely with department heads to increase revenue, achieve productivity goals and contribute to the organisation’s overall success.

Essential skills/experience:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Proven track record delivering complex end to end technology, business change and implementation projects/programme ideally in the Insurance sector area and/or Insurance Technology
2. Experience leading projects throughout the whole project lifecycle from the initiation, design and planning, execution and closure of the project
3. Track and report on project scope, time and budget changes
4. Managing multiple projects that may overlap or be interlinked when aligning with business requirements
5. Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies for Agile / Waterfall are essential
6. Develop, validate, maintain and report on projects/BAU activities
7. Responsible for defining, planning, managing, reporting on and communicating project activity
8. Ability to be ‘hands-on’ and to persuade Key Stakeholders to align with change
9. Understanding and controlling the software development and system implementation project lifecycles
10. To actively liaise and engage with project team members to provide appropriate support to projects and bids.
11. Represent and act as the link with wide PMO, resources and work closely with, the specified business unit(s) to ensure the PMO ‘delivery partnership’ supports, enhances, and delivers across the full portfolio of projects.
12. A proactive approach to problem-solving demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
13. Carry out regular project performance assessments in line with Project Governance and periodic review requirements.
14. Ensure regular effective communication with the Client and project team.
15. Proficient use of software programs, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams
16. Minimum of 6 years + experience of managing complex IT software projects using established project/program management disciplines and methodologies. Recognized project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, etc… preferable. While certification is important, candidates should be able to adapt to detailed processes and methodologies.
