Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Composites Technical Buyer at our new Silverstone Facility. You will be responsible for procuring composite car components, rohacell, tooling, and related parts from external suppliers. Our goal is to excel in every aspect of our team, encouraging innovation and shared success.
What you will be doing:
* Procure high-quality composite components and tooling within tight timeframes and at competitive prices.
* Coordinate tooling, raw materials, and child parts delivery to suppliers as required.
* Develop and manage the external composite supply chain, ensuring suppliers meet standards and optimize delivery performance.
* Report delivery exceptions promptly to manage stakeholder expectations.
* Communicate proactively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective procurement.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s ERP system and contribute to its ongoing improvement.
Requirements:
* Excellent knowledge of composite component manufacturing.
* Understanding of pattern and mould manufacturing.
* Working knowledge of composite raw materials.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Previous experience with ERP systems.
* Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
* Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
* Flexible, team-oriented attitude, capable of working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
