Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member, or if already a member, to have a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at St Joseph's Academy, Kilmarnock, until 31 March 2026. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The full-time salary range is £24,333 - £25,353 per annum, with the actual part-time salary between £16,398 - £17,085 per annum. Interviews will be held in early July.
