Drainage Engineer – Pumps & Maintenance
We’re looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join a skilled team working across a variety of sites — from domestic properties to large commercial facilities. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems, with a strong focus on pump station installations, repairs, and servicing. You’ll help ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities
 * Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on drainage systems, including CCTV surveys, jetting, and descaling.
 * Diagnose and repair issues with pump stations, including submersible and macerator pumps.
 * Install, service, and replace pumps and associated control systems.
 * Complete accurate reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
 * Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional standards on-site.
 * Participate in an out-of-hours rota as required (with standby allowance).

 * Hourly rate: from £13.50 per hour, rising to £17+ per hour depending on experience (negotiable).

Requirements
 * Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer or in a similar field service role.
 * Hands-on experience with pumps — installation, servicing, and fault-finding.
 * Confined Space and High-Pressure Water Jetting certificates (or willingness to obtain).
 * Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points).
 * Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Desirable
 * Electrical knowledge, particularly with pump control panels.
 * CSCS card.
 * Experience working on commercial or industrial drainage systems.
