About the apprenticeship
Duties
•Read and interpret engineering drawings
•Assemble components by welding them together
•Ensure finished welds meet quality standards and tolerances
•Use a variety of tools, welding equipment and overhead travelling cranes
•Implementation and adhering to all health and safety policies
Additional information
•You will attend Coleg Gwent on a day release basis, completing your Level 2 and 3 qualification over 36 months
•You will follow a learning plan in the workplace, supported by a mentor
•EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technologies (College Tech Cert)
•EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering (Work Based NVQ)
•EAL Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations Fabrication & Welding (Block Release)

Qualifications
Must have 5 GCSE’s inc Maths, English and Science (Grade 6 or Equivalent) Essential
