Hays are working in partnership with an established consultancy engineeringpany currently hiring a Structural Engineer. They have offices in Northern Ireland and in England.No two days are the same in this varied role, working on local projects that make a real difference. Projects range from small-scale renovations to new-build developments across multiple sectors inmercial, residential,munal and industrial. The successful candidates will play a key role in the creation of buildings and be responsible for a variety of technical tasks, whilst managing clients and building new positive relations.
Your new role
Our client is expanding its team and is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for their office in Belfast.Key Responsibilities of a Structural Engineer:
1. You must be able to produce practical and cost-effective structural designs in timber, concrete, masonry and steel.
2. You are required to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard.
3. Must have 3 years design experience with a consulting structural engineering practice in the UK or Ireland.
4. Ideally, have experience in minor civil design.
5. Ensure works are constructed in accordance with the Employer’s Representative’s requirements.
6. You will be working closely with engineers and other stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for the Structural Engineer role, you must hold a degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent, with minimum 3 years UK/ Ireland experience
and be a member of an appropriate professional institution.You must have strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, and with strong engineering design experience, particularly in using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, AutoCAD, and Revit.In addition to technical skills, it is essential that you have good planning, organisation, interpersonal, andmunication skills, as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude with amitment to excellent customer service.
