This role sits within Health and Disability, where we are responsible for running and transforming multiple digital and non-digital services. We are a key part of DWP's story with commitments to deliver end-to-end service transformation across the support we provide to citizens and DWP staff. The Product Manager in the Health Transformation Test and Learn Team will play a critical role in testing, capturing evidence and using this to focus on improving operational efficiency, underpinned by the development and evolution of data-driven products. This is especially important given the team’s leadership of two major Health Transformation Programme priorities. The role will be responsible for making evidenced based strategic and tactical product decisions and making key priority calls. You will be actively involved in developing the product strategy, owning the product roadmap, and communicating product success to stakeholders but also defend controversial decisions about your product. You will also have experience of product management techniques. While you will work independently, you’ll also be part of a more complex area with the support of a more senior Product Manager. Additionally, you’ll be a part of our Product Community of Practice, where Product Managers across DWP Digital come together to share learning, discuss their development needs, gain support, and solve for common problems. Person specification When Giving Details In Your Employment History And Personal Statement You Should Highlight Your Experience In Line With Essential Criteria Below Significant demonstrable experience of creating and communicating a product roadmap, and gaining stakeholder buy-in. Extensive experience and proven track record of work with users to understand their needs and represented the user in all decision making. Proven ability of prioritising product backlogs based on user needs, changing priorities, value and effort. Significant demonstrable experience of leading a range of specialists in multidisciplinary teams, applying an agile methodology and mindset to enable incremental delivery. Hybrid Working This role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. Salary Information Pay for this role is from £57,946 to £68,205. Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview. Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer will maintain their current salary. Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will either move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or get a 10% increase to their current salary whichever would be the greater.
