Wood in Reading is seeking a Principal HVAC Engineer to join on a contract basis.

The role involves providing HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical, and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects.
General Responsibilities:
* Perform HVAC engineering activities for projects
* Potential to act as Lead HVAC Engineer if required
* Review and approve HVAC engineering deliverables
* Assist in planning and scheduling of discipline activities
* Coordinate with all disciplines for deliverables
* Design and substantiate ventilation systems at a Principal Level
* Produce ventilation system design documents such as VFDs, BoD, sizing calculations, control philosophies
* Deliver equipment specifications and design assessment reports
* Manage scope and schedule changes per Change Control processes
* Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations
* Complete work within budget and schedule constraints
* Prepare estimates and schedules
* Size HVAC equipment as needed for project stage
* Hybrid working arrangements are available.
