Accounts Payable Manager - Temporary role - Immediate start
* Role: Accounts Payable Manager
* Day Rate: £250 - £280/ day Umbrella inside IR35
* Location: London (2 days in 3 from home)
* Contract Length: 6 months+
This is a critical role within a rapidly growing organisation. This is a chance to own the entire Accounts Payable function, optimising processes, managing supplier payments, and supporting key projects and capital expenditure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
* Process and review high volumes of supplier invoices with precision and care.
* Administer weekly and ad-hoc payment runs to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
* Maintain and update supplier master data, streamlining onboarding procedures.
* Conduct supplier reconciliations and resolve any payment disputes or inquiries.
* Facilitate purchase order approval workflows and monitor compliance.
* Track cash flow requirements and manage upcoming payment obligations effectively.
* Assist with essential month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
* Ensure that internal controls and relevant approval matrices are adhered to.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting and cost allocation.
* Seek and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation in AP workflows.
* Support audit processes with accurate and comprehensive documentation.
What skills can you bring?
* Significant experience in managing Accounts Payable in a fast-moving and high-demand environment.
* Experience in Construction/ Infrastructure.
* Proven capability to process and oversee large-value supplier payments efficiently.
* Strong reconciliation skills with a detail-oriented and compliance-driven approach.
* Proficiency with ERP systems and a familiarity with purchase order workflows.
* The ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work effectively to tight deadlines.
* Experience navigating a dynamic organisation with evolving processes.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
