Position: Call Handler/Receptionist
Hours: Part-time / Full-time hours per week, with additional hours to cover holidays, etc.)
Salary: £12.21/hour
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated, organised, and efficient individuals to join our team as a Call handler/receptionist at The Orchard Surgery in Langley, Slough. Our practice is committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer and manage incoming patient calls efficiently and professionally.
* Schedule and manage patient appointments.
* Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
* Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
* Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks.
* Support clinical staff with daily operations as needed.
* Provide effective and confidential reception duties, including answering telephone calls
* Use of clinical IT system to manage patient records and appointments
* Book appointments for patients
* Meet and greet all patients and visitors in a polite, calm, and approachable manner
Requirements:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Basic IT skills and familiarity with patient management systems preferred.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Previous experience in GP reception work is not required, as full support and training will be provided to the right candidate
