We are seeking a passionate, ambitious Head Chef for our low-waste, farm-to-table restaurant. This role involves working closely with all hotel departments to deliver excellence, sustainability, and a positive, safe working environment.
Working alongside chef-partner Mary-Ellen McTague, you will create and execute hyper-seasonal menus based on local produce and sustainable practices. Your enthusiasm for quality ingredients and service will inspire your team to elevate standards and achieve excellence.
We want a Head Chef who is a people magnet, skilled at anticipating obstacles and providing quick solutions. Most importantly, someone who can lead by example, knowing when to get hands-on and when to empower emerging talent. If this sounds like you, we’d love to connect.
About you…
* At least 5 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on high-quality food
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Head Chef
* Interest in sustainable kitchen practices
* Ability to develop menus aligned with brand guidelines, building a strong local and national reputation
* Commitment to quality and training teams to deliver consistent excellence
* Passion for learning and team development
* Strong knife skills and professional demeanor—lead by example
* Attention to detail
* Ability to stay calm, organized, and clear in a busy environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in kitchen administration, including managing food and labor costs, health and safety, and rotas
* Proven track record in guest and team engagement, as well as financial performance
