Job title: Business Development Executive
Location: Manchester City Centre | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)
Working hours: 35 hours per week | Core hours 10am–3pm | Early finish Fridays
Overview:
We are a leading utilities infrastructure consultancy providing bespoke solutions across gas, electricity, water, and telecoms to domestic, commercial, and industrial clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our successful and expanding sales team.
The Role:
This is a target-driven, outbound sales role with a strong focus on:
* High-volume cold calling to generate new business opportunities.
* Managing and updating the CRM/database with accurate, timely information.
* Following up on inbound enquiries and qualifying leads.
* Building long-term relationships to encourage repeat business.
* Meeting and exceeding call volume, lead conversion, and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate leads through research, networking, and outbound calls.
* Maintain a strong sales pipeline through effective CRM management.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Consistently achieve agreed KPIs and activity levels.
Requirements
* Proven experience in business development, telesales, or outbound sales.
* Comfortable making a high volume of calls daily.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* CRM/database management experience.
* Self-motivated and target-driven.
* Industry experience in utilities or infrastructure is advantageous but not essential.
