Build the world you want to live in with a career in the infrastructure property sector.
We are looking for ambitious Graduates to join our growing Infrastructure teams in Birmingham and Winchester.
Our society is changing, as can be seen in news reports every day. Issues such as housing shortages, changing high streets, water shortages, climate change, biodiversity, energy supplies, renewable energy, and the switch to electric cars from 2035 are all challenges our society faces today. Our towns, cities, and countryside must adapt to these changes, and you could play a part in building the world we want to live in.
The Team
Our infrastructure team is the fastest growing of its kind in the country, now with 180 people across seven offices in the UK, working with major clients including Network Rail, HS2, National Highways, National Grid, Homes England, and the Crown Estate.
Operating in both rural and urban environments, our Infrastructure Graduates are directly involved in delivering the world we need for the 21st century and beyond. We serve clients across sectors such as:
* Energy
* Minerals & Waste
* Regeneration
* Telecommunications
* Utilities
* Transport
* Geospatial / GIS
* Property / Asset management
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an effective individual to join our team that delivers real change to people's lives. You will work with a diverse range of property clients including local councils, London Boroughs, Network Rail, DfT, TfL, water companies, telecom providers, homeowners, farmers, and businesses of various sizes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with negotiations for acquisition and relocation packages across different property types, supporting the consenting and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Your daily activities may involve supporting access rights negotiations, lease negotiations, land and building acquisitions, business relocations, asset transactions, valuations, and contributing to strategic land reports. You will undertake site visits, meet clients and colleagues, and attend public consultations.
You will also be involved in developing and implementing efficient internal systems and processes, optimizing IT resources, and gaining experience in specialised skills such as land assembly negotiations and compulsory purchase, supported by our in-house Academy training with over 20 hours of CPD.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships is vital, including attending meetings and preparing communications and reports.
What Will It Take to Be Successful?
We welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including land management, environmental studies, infrastructure, planning & development, land administration, geography, and real estate, among others. Candidates should have a keen interest in infrastructure and making a positive impact on the world. A broad understanding of the property/real estate lifecycle is beneficial.
An RICS-accredited degree is preferred, but applications from candidates with non-accredited degrees and other relevant qualifications are also encouraged. For GIS and Geospatial roles, following CICES and RGS guidelines is advantageous. Experience in real estate or civil engineering sectors, gained through work placements, is beneficial. A full driving license is essential due to travel requirements.
