Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Gloucester
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become long-term)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive daily rate (PAYE or Umbrella options available)
Prospero Teaching is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Gloucester who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a meaningful difference in the classroom.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
2. Working with children with needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
3. Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
4. Helping to create a safe, calm and engaging learning environment
5. Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
6. Has previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
7. Demonstrates a caring, patient, and resilient approach
8. Has a genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education
9. Is confident building positive relationships with pupils and staff
10. Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced child workforce DBS
