Account Manager - Gi Group

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to own day-to-day client relationships, drive retention and growth, and ensure excellent delivery of our staffing solutions. The successful candidate will be the single point of contact for assigned account, coordinating with recruitment, operations and client stakeholders to translate briefs into reliable resource solutions and actionable plans.
Key responsibilities:
Own and develop relationships with assigned client contacts: clarify requirements, set expectations, and act as the single point of contact to ensure alignment and timely resolution of stakeholder queries.
Drive account growth and retention: identify upsell opportunities, promote candidate profiles and workforce solutions, and maintain an active opportunity pipeline to increase revenue and client loyalty.
Coordinate recruitment and operations: convert client briefs into precise requirements and oversee end-to-end delivery to meet SLAs and vacancy fill targets.
Manage performance and reporting: produce and maintain regular MI (weekly/monthly), including dashboards, account trackers and market insight to surface trends, risks and improvement actions.
Resolve escalations: act as escalation point for on-site teams and suppliers to protect service continuity and candidate employability.
Support workforce planning and scheduling: partner with clients to forecast demand, manage re-hires and ensure continuity of placements.
Maintain flexibility with working hours to accommodate client and candidate needs, including occasional evenings, weekends and rota‑based on‑call shifts.
Who we’re looking for:
Experience: Proven account management or client-facing delivery experience within staffing, recruitment or a related services environment.
Commercial acumen: Comfortable identifying commercial opportunities, negotiating and protecting margin while delivering value to clients.
Technical: Confident using ATS/CRM/WFM and reporting tools; able to interpret data to drive decisions and improve performance.
Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
