Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will support the implementation of Telent's Sustainability Strategy. Your role will involve helping Business Units meet waste reduction, carbon reduction, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide expert advice to EHS teams and project leads on environmental and sustainability matters to ensure regulatory compliance and meet customer requirements.
* Support risk management by establishing environmental assurance programs, including audits, inspections, and assurance practices.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for stakeholders.
* Ensure regular reviews of environmental impacts and climate change risks within Business Units.
* Work with Bid, Design, and Operational Teams to embed sustainable practices throughout project lifecycles.
Who You Are:
You have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Proven experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
* Track record of reducing environmental impacts through product lifecycle management
* Experience managing complex technical and change projects
* Full driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide
