Assistant Production Manager
* Location: Ross on Wye
* Job Type: Full-time
* Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage, train, and monitor the performance of the supervising team and seasonal staff.
* Oversee production jobs from growing to harvest.
* Coordinate the day-to-day logistics of work teams.
* Conduct training inductions for new employees.
* Monitor and report on health and safety.
* Maintain accurate production records.
* Ensure fruit quality control during harvest.
* Adapt to fluctuating work hours during the busy harvest season, including long hours and weekend work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in soft fruit production (harvest or growing) is essential; however, full training will be provided.
* Strong organisation and planning skills.
* Proven experience managing groups of people.
* Innovative thinking and a positive approach.
* Ability to work independently.
* Willingness to learn.
* Knowledge of Russian or Bulgarian would be advantageous but is not required.
* Must have the right to work in the UK long term and possess a full clean driving licence.
