Behaviour Mentor - Balsall Heath

Aspire People is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Balsall Heath. This is a long‑term, full‑time position working Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible. The role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people overcome behavioural barriers and re‑engage positively with their learning.
Role Overview
Provide 1:1 and small‑group behaviour support
Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategies
Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN staff
Support students who present challenging behaviour or disengagement
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Contribute to behaviour plans, interventions, and progress reviews
Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to motivate and engage pupils who may struggle in mainstream settings
A team‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
