Maintenance Manager – Site Services
Location: Tiverton
Salary: £55k-65k plus a competitive package
This is a growing FMCG business with a strong manufacturing facility. The Engineering Site Services Manager role is essential for its ongoing development as a key member of the Engineering Team, ensuring smooth site operations and fostering collaboration across all functions.
Managing utilities such as water, air, and effluent systems is critical for the plant. Candidates with expertise in managing site services and facilities within a manufacturing environment are ideal. Previous supervisory or management experience is important, as this role involves leading a small team that provides support across key areas.

Role responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing maintenance of utilities infrastructure, including steam boilers, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and refrigeration units, to ensure reliability and performance.
2. Managing water treatment and distribution systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.
3. Monitoring air quality and maintaining safe indoor air standards, including ventilation and emission controls, in line with industry regulations.
4. Coordinating effluent treatment and wastewater disposal, ensuring environmental compliance and sustainable practices.
5. Ensuring all site services adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations through regular audits and inspections.
6. Managing budgets for site services, optimizing resources, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
7. Liaising with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring proper supervision, inductions, and permits to work on site.
Candidate requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge of utilities, water treatment, air quality control, and effluent management, with understanding of relevant regulations.
* Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams, fostering continuous improvement.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for interacting confidently with internal and external partners.
