Responsibilities
* As a service technician you will be meeting the engineers on customer sites carrying out different activities.
* Once training has been given, you will also carry out basic fault finding on ATMs in the absence of the Field Engineer, such as clearing card reader faults, printer faults, note jams etc. Some heavy lifting might be involved.
* Another aspect of the role will include meeting engineers on site, delivering and handing over larger parts for the ATMs and, if required, assisting the engineer with fitting parts.
* You may on occasion carry out non-engineering tickets, such as meeting BT, locksmiths and alarm handovers etc.
* As an MST you will be responsible for returning parts and ordering replacements, and keeping track of stock that you carry onboard your vehicle.
* If required you would assist with removing cash from ATMs under security protocol, working closely with the engineer to ensure the site is well prepared for a de-cash.
* This role requires you to be self-motivated and driven with an interest in working in the field and developing into a field engineer if that is your aim.
* Demonstrate good geographical knowledge of the local area; occasionally you may be asked to work out of area, which could involve longer driving distances.
* Work two weekends per month; rest days are given during the week when you work weekends.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ideally have previous experience with electronics or mechanical devices and basic fault-finding skills, even if on home gadgets and appliances.
* Good communication skills and basic admin skills are essential for this role.
* An SIA license would be beneficial but is not essential as the organisation will arrange and pay for this to be taken.
* Good geographical knowledge of the local area and the ability to travel as required.
