Job Title: HR Assistant
Reports to: Head of HR
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week
Place of work: Autism Anglia, Head Office, The Crescent, Colchester, CO4
The Role
As part of the Business Partnering team, your responsibilities will include providing a comprehensive, efficient, and customer-responsive Human Resources service, along with administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for general HR queries, using policies and procedures for guidance and escalating issues to the HR Advisor as needed.
* Manage the HR Support mailbox.
* Assist with Occupational Health referrals, welfare calls, and administrative processes.
* Support employee relations by advising managers on current policies and helping employees understand their benefits and entitlements.
* Assist senior HR team members during performance management cycles and maintain relevant documentation.
* Contribute ideas to improve HR processes, practices, and employee engagement initiatives.
* Participate in HR projects and initiatives, supporting their implementation and change management.
* Support payroll processes by collating timesheets, absence data, and other payroll-related documentation.
* Design and deliver training courses when required.
Applications Are Welcome From Applicants Who
* Hold a minimum GCSE Level 2 including English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
* Are CIPD Level 3 qualified.
* Have a broad HR administration background and experience working within an HR department.
* Have experience in first-level advising using policies and procedures.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
